Ha Jung-Woo (born on March 11, 1978) is currently one of the most, if not most, well-known actors in South Korea. He is one of the highest grossing actors, with his movies being sold over a 100 million tickets. He started gaining recognition from the movie The Chaser, which was a huge success in both domestic and international box office and drew enormous attention to his outstanding performance. He has been ranked as one of the most favorite actors of all time among Korean moviegoers. In 2018, he also has been voted as the most attractive man in Korea.

His breakthrough to stardom came with the role in director Na Hong-jin's most famous trademark, The Chaser (2008). He played a notorious serial killer which was based on real event that took place in South Korea during mid 2000s.
In Yellow Sea (2010) directed by Na Hong-jin, Ha Jung-Woo takes the role of a man who travels from his home in Yanji City in China to Seoul in search of his wife. He also agrees to assassinate a man in order to pay his debts. However, he later realizes that he has become involved in matters he shouldn't have.
1987: When the Day Comes (2017) was directed by Jang Joon-hwan. Based on the true event in 1987 which led up to democratic uprising in Korea, Ha Jung-woo is a prosecutor who seeks out to resist against an authoritarian government that is attempting to conceal torture and brutality against innocent civilians.
Along With The Gods (2018) is one of the most viewed films in Korean cinema history. Ha Jung-Woo appears as a grim reaper who punishes people for their sins in the afterlife.
Take-Off (2009) is directed by Kim Yong-hwa. He appears as a Korean-American adoptee who has come to Korea to join national Korean ski jumping team and seek for his long lost mother.
